silane
Silane is a silica-based chemical molecular with inorganic and organic reactive groups in one molecular. Its typical chemical structure is Rn-Si-(X)4-n . R stands for organic groups, such as, Amino, Methacryloxypropyl, Epoxy, and so on; X stands for alkyl groups, such as, methoxyl, ethoxyl, acetoxyl, and so on.
Silane can be used in surfaces between inorganic materials, such as, glass, metal, minerals and organic materials, such as, organic polymer, coatings, sealants & adhesives, to bond two kinds of different materials. The bond mechanics as follows:
inorganic materials, fiber-glass, metal, filler
organic materials, polymers, rubbers, plastics.
